Meet Patrick

Patrick is running because we need a new voice at the table

Patrick is a hockey coach and fourth-generation Edina resident. His family moved here in 1952. His great-grandpa caddied at Interlachen in the 1920s, his grandma graduated from Morningside High School, and his dad lives on Wooddale.

Patrick grew up playing hockey on rinks like Braemar. He’s coached Squirts and Pewees (4th-7th graders) for the last two years. Every time he steps on the ice, he learns more from his players than they learn from him.

When Patrick isn’t coaching, he runs Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon’s re-election campaign. Patrick’s a pragmatic leader who understands how government works at every level. We could use more of that in politics.

After graduating summa cum laude with a history degree from Georgetown University, Patrick worked at two nonprofits, raising money for refugees and Holocaust education. He understands how far we’ve come and how far we have to go.

We also need to look out for each other. When ICE kidnapped our neighbors, Patrick protested and went on patrols.

Patrick lives in Interlachen Park and serves on the Edina 4th of July Committee.
